Hard to believe Legally Blonde is 15 years old.
It doesn’t feel that long ago that we got to know Elle Woods and her pink-infused lifestyle. Elle was a happy sorority girl caught up in the world of law after she followed an ex-boyfriend to law school in a bid to win him back. Along the way she encouraged others to share her positive outlook on life and follow her quirky pieces of advice.
One of those was the bend and snap, Elle’s suggestion for someone to get noticed.
Reese has just won a place in the hearts of Legally Blonde fans yet again by recreating her famous move while celebrating the fifteen anniversary of the popular movie.
The main Instagram account shared the video of Reese demonstrating bend and snap, along with the caption:
“Chihuahua-toting sorority student who aced the LSATs, got into Harvard Law School and inspired a generation. “I have had so many women say, ‘I went to law school because of ‘Legally Blonde,’” says star Reese Witherspoon. “It actually had a meaningful story. And it was about female empowerment. It wasn’t necessarily about the girl getting the guy.”
“That is still the most asked request I get from people. I have a feeling I will be doing the bend and snap until I am 95.”
She also got back into character wearing one of her old outfits from the movie and reciting one of Elle’s best lines.
