And it’s all due to technology and the way the voting is done.
Campmates on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! had their names and phone numbers written on the back of their tops for a long time, but this will no longer be the case.
What was once an iconic and memorable part of the show in terms of the contestants’ fashion is now changing, and it has to do with the voting system.
In the past, the votes on I’m A Celeb meant that the numbers on the back of the tops would be called, but the rise of a new technology means this is no longer needed.
How you can now vote is by casting the vote via the official app of the show, meaning the contestants no longer have a number people have to call.
Having put an end to voting with phone numbers last year, a show source told LADbible that the there was a decline of people voting by phone and this way of voting consisted of only a small percentage of the votes.
The source then went to confirm that this change, which will only be free online via the app, was done to simplify things for the viewers.
However, it is not yet the time to vote any contestant out of the show as there are still a few days until the campmates start to get removed from the show until a winner is crowned.
What has been constant about the show is the location of the camp, which has been Dungay Creek in New South Wales for a long time, with the exception of some years during the pandemic.
