The book Gilmore Girls fans have been waiting for
Gilmore Girls fans have been calling for the show to return ever since the end of the Netflix reboot.
We may not be getting a new series, but the star of the show, Lauren Graham, is working on a new Stars Hollow-related project.
She has confirmed she’s writing a Gilmore Girls book alongside the show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino.
They confirmed the news on Instagram, “Because we love you, Amy and I are working on a new Gilmore Girls book. Get your coffee ready!”
The news comes after Gilmore Girls turned 25 earlier this year.
Graham reunited with on-screen daughter Alexis Bledel at the Emmys to mark the show’s anniversary.
Graham and Amy Sherman-Palladino’s book will be published in the autumn of 2027.
The title of the book has not yet been confirmed.
Graham shared, “I’m thrilled to collaborate with Amy to bring readers all our stories of the special years we spent filming Gilmore Girls, the first and second time!”
Sherman-Palladino added, “I would jump at any chance to collaborate with Lauren Graham. On anything. Be it a boozy broad’s lunch at Joe Allen’s, or writing an actual book, the answer will always be ‘yes.’ I find myself wanting to be permanently linked to her side forever.”
This isn’t Graham’s first book related to her time on the iconic show. She penned the memoir Talking as Fast as I Can, a must-read for fans of Gilmore Girls, in 2016.
It may not be a new series, but there’s no doubt this book will make many Gilmore Girls fans very happy.
