A few days ago Hilary Duff caused a backlash on the internet because of her Halloween costume.
She was accused of cultural appropriation after she turned up to Cindy Crawford’s Halloween party dressed as a pilgrim and her boyfriend Jason Walsh dressed as a Native American.

She received so much criticism that she has been forced to apologise saying, “I am SO sorry to people I offended with my costume. It was not properly thought through and I am truly, from the bottom of my [heart] sorry.”

While her boyfriend also posted an apology saying, “I meant no disrespect. I only have admiration for the indigenous people of America. In hindsight I would not have made that decision. I apologize to anyone I may have offended.”
