Netflix has confirmed when House of Cards will return for the fifth season. It will begin streaming on May 30th, 2017. They cleverly tied in their announcement with the inauguration of American President Donald Trump today.
They teased a clip on Twitter with the tagline, “We make the terror”.
It’s a direct reference to the closing scene from the previous season when Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) said, “We don’t submit to terror. We make the terror.”
The video shows an American flag blowing in the wind while children recite the Pledge of Allegiance. When the camera pulls back we see that the flag is upside down which is the official signal of distress.
