She’s not impressed.
Best known for playing Eva Price on Coronation Street, Catherine Tyldesley recently embarked upon a career in the music industry and released her debut single, Rise, last month.
The single was met with a lukewarm response and failed to enter the charts at a good position. Pushing forward with her plans to become a pop star, Catherine recently gave a plug on Loose Women about her gig in Manchester.
But following that announcement she has been forced to hit back after certain news outlets were reporting that her upcoming gig had failed to sell tickets.
She was gearing up for it until The Sun reported that just 113 tickets out of 459 had been sold.
As source told the newspaper, “You’d have expected far more tickets to have shifted by now. But the reception has been lukewarm. It’s a concern for the team at the theatre, who aren’t keen on letting the show go ahead with a lot of empty seats.”
This prompted Catherine to take to Twitter to clarify saying, “Certain papers should check facts before printing negativity…#yourkarma #slowdayfornews”.
