For as long as there have been red carpets there has been a series of stupid questions directed at women.
The most prolific of these is “What are you wearing?”
In 2014, the plethora of dumb questions frustrated Twitter users so much that they admirably began tweeting #AskHerMore. In tweet after tweet, they implored presenters to ask women about more than just their gowns.
At last night’s Emmys unfortunately, things reverted back to their painful status quo.
Red carpet resident Giuliana Rancic began the proceedings by asking Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper how she balances being a working mom. The question infuriated Twitter users who were quick to point out that no males would be asked such a banal question.

Thankfully, #GirlBoss Amy Schumer was on hand to deal with the onslaught of stupid. When Rancic asked the comedian what she was wearing Amy replied proudly, I’m wearing Vivienne Westwood and an OB Tampon.”
Needless to say, the moment has delighted Twitter.
