For a second year running, the 2FM Xmas Ball, in aid of the ISPCC, will take place in Dublin’s 3Arena. This year it’s happening earlier in December on Saturday the 3rd.

Along with the headliners, Kodaline, a number of other acts have been announced, including one very special performance. Having stolen the show at Electric Picnic, Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will be back again to perform a very special set at the 2FM Xmas Ball.

If you missed out on their unbelievable performance of classic dance tracks you can check it out here.

The show will be hosted by some of the DJs from 2FM, including Nicky Byrne & Jenny Greene, Eoghan McDermott, Bernard O’Shea, Jennifer Zamparelli and Keith Walsh, Tracy Clifford and more.

They will help introduce the acts which include Picture This, The Academic, All Tvvins, Brian Deady and Áine Cahill.

All parties involved with the 2FM Xmas Ball are providing their services free of charge on the night including artists, organisers and 3Arena. The complete funding of the concert goes towards the financial support and aid of the 24-hour phoneline and the ISPCC services dedicated to helping children.

Tickets €39.50 go on sale next Thursday 29th September at 9.00am, and can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets nationwide, via the 24 hr Hotline: 0818 719 300, or online at www.ticketmaster.ie.

Caroline Downey, President of The ISPCC and producer of the 2FM Xmas Ball, has said:

“We are thrilled that so many fantastically talented Irish artists are coming together for the second 2FM Xmas ball in aid of the ISPCC. We are indebted to RTÉ 2FM and the Irish Music Industry for supporting vulnerable Irish children through their support of the ISPCC and the Childline Service. Our motto is NEVER GIVE UP ON A CHILD. EVER.”

Head of RTÉ 2FM, Dan Healy said:

We’re absolutely thrilled that we can join with MCD again this year to present the ball and support the ISPCC with this brilliant event. Not only does it give 2FM a great opportunity to support this wonderful charity – it also gives us the opportunity to reinforce our ongoing support of great Irish artists and Irish music. We are full of admiration for the work of the team at the ISPCC. It’s guaranteed to be a great event raising money for a hugely important charity!”
