About time.
Channel 4 has cancelled The Jump. The reality show, which saw celebrity learning how to master a ski jump, has been hit by controversy every year as multiple contestants received injuries.
In one year alone seven celebrities ended up withdrawing from the competition with injuries including a fractured ankle, dislocated elbow and hamstring injury.
According to The Sun, a source confirmed it would not return in 2018, saying:
“It’s felt like The Jump has been on borrowed time for a while now as the injuries mount up series after series.
The fact Channel 4 have decided against bringing it back next year suggests it’s not a loved property.
If it was getting big enough numbers or deemed an important show, it would be locked into the schedule every year like The X Factor or I’m a Celebrity.”
It surprised everyone when it returned for a fourth series earlier this year. Before it even began our very own Vogue Williams damaged her knee in training.
She was practicing Ski Cross, a track race where the celebrities reach speeds of 75mph, when the incident occurred.

Lucky her injuries weren’t too serious.
We’re glad to see it’s come to an end and no more celebrities need to hurt themselves all for the sake of a TV show.
