It looks like things could be about to get very serious between Ed Sheeran and his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn. The DailyMail reports that a friend of Ed’s spoke with Australian press recently and suggested that he could be about to get down on one knee while he’s promoting his new single down under.
They told NW, “He’s so ready to take the next step with Cherry and couldn’t think of a better place to ask her to marry him in Australia.”
Although there is possibly no truth to this rumour, Ed did say recently that this relationship is the strongest he’s ever had. He told Zane Lowe:
“This has been the first time I’ve ever actually had the time to fall in love properly.
I’ve always got into relationships very passionate – I’m a redhead and also Irish. But then I will get in a relationship and go on tour for 18 months and everything will f**k up.
And I’m like, “Oh, what happened?” But it’s because I had no time to put into someone.”
He also spoke about being ready to have children saying, “‘Massively, yeah. I wanted to be a dad, like, last year. I’m ready, let’s go – tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around.”
Ed and Cherry are very rarely spotted out together but Taylor Swift did manage to publicly mortify them last summer by sharing an image of them kissing.
