There is no denying that Britney Spears has had an interesting life.
America’s sweetheart began her career as a Disney star, quickly rose to fame as a teen pop princess and transitioned seamlessly into iconic thanks to chart success after success.
Unsurprisingly, a film is being made about the stars rise to fame. According to Entertainment Weekly, the film is being made by Lifetime and Spears is yet to give it her blessing.
According to Cosmopolitan, the film is set to premiere in February. Titled “Britney,” it follows the rise to stardom and fall from grace. Highlights include her relationship with Justin Timberlake and marriage to Kevin Federline. It then touches upon her 2007 breakdown.
Britney will be played by Natasha Bassett; Nathan Keyes will take the role of Spears’ ex-flame Justin Timberlake, and Clayton Chitty will play ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Fans have gotten their hands on some preview pics and well, to put it bluntly, they’re offended on Brit’s behalf.

I know Britney had some rough times, but the casting for her Lifetime movie is a travesty. pic.twitter.com/aoTALTR1t3

Me: lifetime is so disrespectful. How dare they make a biopic without Britney’s permission and exploit her like that.
