Melissa McCarthy has said that Bridesmaid 2 might be happening.
She has recently teamed up again with the director of the hit movie, Paul Feig, and her co-star Kristen Wiig, for the remake of Ghostbusters and now she’s hinting that they will work together on a sequel to Bridesmaids, but not soon.
While she did say that it’s not looking likely that Kristen or Annie will be involved anytime soon she added that a sequel could happen in the future.
While speaking to Heat she said:
“That’s another amazing group of women who I’d love to work with again. I don’t think it will be on a sequel to Bridesmaids, though.
“Kristen and Annie [Mumolo, who co-wrote it] aren’t doing it. It’s really down to them and everyone is so busy.”
But, she did add, “It could happen but not for a long time.”
Although nothing has been set in stone and no confirmation on the sequel has been officially released but we’re liking the chances if one of the main stars thinks it will happen.
