Yesterday Lindsay Lohan made quite the return to the headlines as it was reported she had stuck a pedestrian with her car when driving in New York.
And as with most of the stories surrounding the troubled star, the plot has thickened quite a lot since then.
The alleged victim, Jose Rodriquez, reportedly told the New York Daily News: “I saw this car come real quick and hit me. I was in so much pain. I fell to the side… She told me I have to move. She was slurring. She smelled like alcohol real bad.”
He then added: “They drove off, like it didn’t matter.” After the authorities were called, the Mean Girls star was arrested for fleeing the scene of an accident.
Lindsay Lohan has been in trouble with the law before.
As one would expect, the actress also had her fair share of things to say. She has apparently claimed that she has been “set up” and found the whole incident “fishy.”
To be honest this is fair enough considering the amount of famous celebrities that have been targeted by people who appear to want to make a buck or two.
The fact that the publication also reports that police said there were no indications that Lindsay was intoxicated and surveillance footage contradicts parts of Mr Rodriquez’s story also favour the star.
However she is said to have admitted that she didn’t know she had hit anyone until she was arrested and as everyone knows, alcohol is known to cause memory loss.
Hmm, guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this one pans out!
