Galway Races, aka the place to be on the August bank holiday.
Okay, so I’m definitely biased as I’m from Galway but it has to be said that you’re guaranteed good fun at Ballybrit during the first week in August.
People tend to descend on the City of the Tribes in large numbers, streets are cordoned off as you’ll know if you’ve ever attended yourself, and it’s just general good craic.
Anyway, if you have plans to go but don’t have anything to wear, there are lots of options on the high-street.
Let’s be honest, there’s no getting away from polka-dots this season and although I wasn’t a fan before summer 2018, I’ve been won over.
