Having grown up in Monaco, London and various other exotic locations around the globe, it would be easy to write her off as another rich kid, cashing in on her connections to indulge her passion for fashion – her father is Formula One boss Eddie Jordan.
But, unlike some other very famous Formula One daughters, Zoe Jordan is serious about fashion, knows what she’s doing and doesn’t need daddy’s money to do it.
Her latest collection from her eponymous line kicked off the London Fashion Week proceedings earlier today and is being met with high praise from the critics.
The 30-year-old former investment banker’s aesthetic is grown up and quite austere at times – think structured tailoring that could work perfectly in an office environment – but she breaks it up with pops of vibrant colour, unexpected patterns and graphic prints.
It’s sexy without showing too much skin, slightly androgynous and very, very cool. And most of all it’s wearable. The kind of collection that would make you feel just as polished, professional and successful as the designer herself.
Speaking to Vogue.co.uk, Zoe said “Moving back to London I wanted to make it a sharper, minimal and pared-down.”
And as far as we’re concerned the collection is all that and more.
