Not only do grannies provide pearls of wisdom, know how to knock up a scone in seconds and pass the odd heirloom our way, they also provide us with genuine style inspiration amid all the vapid TOWIE stars and Hollywood actresses who are hogging the magazine covers.
Queen of the baked good and star of The Great British Bake Off Mary Berry is our Granny crush de jour! If you thought 90s grunge inspired style was only for Topshop clad twenty-something’s then think again because Mary quite literally rocked this floral Zara bomber on last week’s show. She even manages to momentarily distract us from the yummy cakes and other sugary delights which is no mean feat!
The jacket from Zara has since sold out and fans of the show are currently bidding over €200 on eBay. So you won’t be able to get your hands on the exact same one, unless you’re willing to pay crazy money. There are vast amounts of silky bombers on the high-street though so check out our top five and take a leaf out of Mary’s (cook)book!
