Pink is a wardrobe staple for many women for the sheer variety of shades available. From sugary baby pink shades to striking cerise, there’s a tone to flatter every skin, eye and hair colour.
As for what it says about you? Well, most people will already associate pink with femininity. It’s a traditionally ‘girlie’ colour, as showcased by the likes of cult movie character Elle Woods.

But pink is so much more! Did you know that the prison cells of some of the most dangerous criminals in the world are painted pink? That’s because the colour has been shown to calm aggression.
Further, pink has long been the signature colour of romance (passion belonging to the more forceful red!). It also calls to mind sweetness and comfort. Unlike red, pink soothes rather than stimulates.
A word of caution though, an overuse of pink can lead to others seeing you as over-emotional, naive or physically weak, so it works well paired with neutrals to tone down this effect.
Whatever your shade, we have a couple of suggestions on how to get the perfect pink into your wardrobe!
