Ever wanted to meet Victoria Beckham? Well the good news is, she’s going to be landing on our shores next week, so you might just bump into her while you’re getting your shop on.
The Irish Independent reports that the ever-stylish Posh Spice will be paying a visit to the Grafton Street branch of Brown Thomas where she will meet Irish shoppers and personally thank them for helping her to turn her fashion design brand into a major success story.
Let’s just say that a few well-placed fashion industry bigwigs were pretty cynical when Mrs Beckham announced that she was dipping her Louboutin-clad feet into the waters of fashion design. Given the success of brand Beckham over the past four years, we imagine these cynics are absolutely raging that they didn’t believe in Victoria from the start.
Can we just say that in Ireland alone, people went crazy trying to pre-order some of her dresses before they even hit the rails.
And we should also mention that Brown Thomas was one of the first nine stores worldwide to buy into Victoria’s fashion vision and stock her collection. In fact, sales of Victoria’s clothing range in Brown Thomas have trebled in the last three years.
Therefore, it’s only natural that she’d pop over to see us and say thanks.
The event will see Victoria meeting more than 50 supporters who have bought her clothes and these lucky shoppers will be treated to a fashion show featuring items from Victoria’s main autumn/winter 2012 collection, and her new, less expensive label ‘Victoria, Victoria Beckham.’
Could you imagine bumping into Queen Beckham herself on Grafton Street? We better make sure we’re well presented all next week…just in case…
