This season’s offering of haute couture is nothing short of stunning, in fact we want to come up with a completely new language to describe the sheer gorgeousness of the designs hitting the runway in Paris at the moment.
Each show is better than the last and while Chanel, Dior and Giambattista Valli concentrated on lighter shades and feminine designs, Armani opted for more of a masculine aesthetic.
“Three basic colours, tone on tone” is how Armani described the show and indeed, this is an accurate reflection of the designs showcased yesterday.
The collection is made up of red, black and white concentrating on sharp tailoring in the form of skirts, jackets and shorts while also showcasing formal evening gowns.
Flounces of tulle and dramatic headpieces added a fashion forward touch but sharp studs and bold prints ensured the line proved modern and wearable too.
Not all designers can achieve such a varied mix and for that Mr Armani, we salute you!
