The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles was the venue for last night’s American Music Awards and celebritites were out in force to show their appreciation for the music world.
White was a popular option for those on the red carpet with Nicole Richie, Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera all opting for the same ivory hue.
Nicole wore a Grecian style gown accessorised with chunky gold jewellery, Miley went for a sharp white trouser suit which was a modest choice for her even if she did go braless, and Christina’s look reminded us of old Hollywood glamour.
Kendall Jenner also opted for white, sporting a white mini dress complete with cut out detail. She teamed the dress with a silver statement necklace and red lipstick.
Jennifer Hudson’s dress was a bright orange with a burst of fuschia pink, a decidedly brave choice considering it’s the middle of winter and not summer. The cut of her dress wasn’t the most flattering and this wasn’t one of our favourites.
Performing at the Victoria’s Secret show a couple of weeks ago, Taylor Swift opted for a sparkly silver minidress and she went for a similar look at last night’s event, this time in gold.
Rock singer Joan Jett may be 55 but she can rock a pair of leather trousers as well as somebody half her age… kudos to her!
Lady Gaga arrived on a white puppet horse, operated by two men, wearing a flowing purple Versace gown. The singer, who wore a long blonde wig to complete the outfit, was recently announced as the new face of the design house.
Rihanna channelled a Gothic look when she arrived at the event, wearing a black bralet top complete with a see-through mesh effect skirt.
