Spring Style Report – Pick Up These Catwalk Trends On A High Street Budget

Bag key trends on the high street

Her

Springtime has officially arrived. Flowers are beginning to bloom, there’s a grand stretch in the evenings, and our wardrobes are in need of some attention. Some major attention.

To help with your fashion overhaul, we’ve picked four of the biggest themes from the Spring catwalks, and hand-picked some of our favourite bang on trend items from the high street.

High fashion trends at high street prices. Sounds like a plan to us!

1. Saddle Up

Spring 2015 is all about stylish saddle bags. Chloé, Michael Kors, Gucci and Saint Laurent all featured them in their collections so we’ve chosen three of our favourite high street options:

€47.94 at Dune

We’re head over heels for this delicate nude number. The gold-tone details, the textured leather look and the fringed tassel combine to make it the perfect Spring bag. Get on our shoulder now.

€79.45 at The Leather Satchel Company

This gorgeous tan bag is made from 100% polished leather, but it’s the gorgeous details that make it a stand out piece. The delicate stitching and pin buckle fastening are to die for.

€82.19 at Grafea

This black beauty is made from 100% smooth matte leather with a magnetic flap top fastening. Versatile, chic and compact, this would make for another great addition to our bag collection.

2. Tulle Cool For School

Tulle skirts were another major trend on this year’s Spring catwalks. A key feature of the stunning Burberry Spring collection, they also made appearances at the Christopher Kane and Michael Kors shows. We’ve got our eyes firmly set on the two pretty numbers below:

€75.34 at Needle & Thread

The delicate colour, the silk waistband, the lightweight fabric. This gorgeous midi skirt has truly stolen our hearts.

€27.40 at Asos

We need this baby pink stretch-waist skirt in our wardrobe. Immediately. Pair with a simple crisp white blouse or striped black and white jumper and delicate sandals. Perfection.

3. Leather Lady

Coloured leather separates made for another key Spring trend. We’re going to stick with jackets, because we firmly believe every girl should have at least one of these beauties hanging in their wardrobe. Here are two of our high street favourites at the moment:

€80 at River Island

A fresh take on a traditional style, this coral leather-look jacket is bang on trend. The perfect colour for Spring, we also love the silver tone hardware and zip features.

€65.75 at Noisy May

Perfect to throw on over jeans, a dress or a T-shirt, a decent black leather jacket is a wardrobe staple. We love this faux leather option from Noisy May. The cropped cut and jersey cuffs add something a little extra.

4. That 70’s Show

From gorgeous printed scarves and crochet tops to floaty boho dresses and fringed bags, we’re seeing a full on seventies revival this Spring. Henry Holland, Tommy Hilfiger and Pucci all showed seventies-inspired pieces in their Spring collections. Check out our picks below:

€49.95 at Mango

70s 2 cropped

We love this high rise suede mini skirt. Made from 100% real leather, the twin patch pockets are a gorgeous detail. Dress it down with a thin knit jumper for a day in the office or dress it up with a simple black top and heels for a Spring night out.

€89.04 at Supertrash

70s 3

The stars, the semi-sheer chiffon, the deep V-neckline. We love everything about this gorgeous dress. Perfect to throw on when you’re heading out on a crisp Spring evening.
