However American media mogul Martha Stewart has admitted to InStyle that she paints the soles of her pricey pumps black telling the American edition of the magazine ‘I don’t like them red, even though they’re his trademark.’

The French cobbler is famously protective over his trademark red soles and has even brought fashion house YSL to court over copyright claims but apparently Christian has given Martha his blessing to customise his creations.

‘He doesn’t mind,’ she said. ‘He said it’s okay if I do that – I asked him!’ You would think that the business woman would just go for a cheaper brand to save herself the trouble but with an estimated fortune of €487 million ($638 million) we’re sure she can afford them!
