Who are your fashion icons?
Alexa Chung. I love her young, fresh laid-back style – sometimes she’s quirky, other times she’s classic, but she’s always super feminine. It’s a great mix.

Luxurious, feminine, timeless.
Who is your customer?
Because my jewellery is easy to wear, it appeals to a real mix of customers. The cute, playful Written collection appeals to a younger more trend focused customer, while the elegant, feminine style of the Promise & Majestic Collections give it a broad appeal for customers of most ages. My new Talon collection is a little bit edgier than my other collections so I think it may be adopted by a younger market, but I’m always pleasantly surprised by the age-range of people who buy my pieces.

Where do you find inspiration?
I love visiting the V&A Museum in London to get a feel for the opulence of objects from the past. I’m also heavily influenced by beautiful architecture – my Promise collection is inspired by the lattice work on Middle Eastern architecture, while my new Talon collection takes the elongated shapes of talons and arches from Barcelona’s Gothic quarter.
Career highlight so far?
It’s hard to pin it down to one thing, but being named as one of Professional Jeweller’s Hot 100 influential people in the jewellery industry was a great accolade.

Style secrets?
I like to have a selection of good wardrobe basics that I can dress up with the addition of jewellery – I love layering up my simple bracelets and rings for a chic, relaxed look, or adding drop earrings, a cocktail ring and a bangle if I’m going out.
