If there’s one thing VB does well it’s tailoring and she prides herself on knowing exactly how to compliment a woman’s curves with attention to waistlines, hem lengths and how a garment falls and drapes over the body.
Gone are the slightly WAG-tastic and much copied bodycon style shift dresses in favour of more androgynous tailoring and voluminous layering.
Taking to her Facebook page after the show the popstar turned designer wrote “Combining enhanced volumes with new restrained outlines has allowed me to push my silhouette even further.”
“For me, it is the application of a refined quality within a mannish modernity that has proved to be such an exciting part of the design process this season.”
But she didn’t scrap her tried and tested formula of skin tight cocktail dresses entirely and the ‘can’t breathe it’s so tight’ type pencil skirts and sexy high necked blouses provided a bit of her signature sex appeal.
Overall the whole collection just proves that the relatively new designer is going from strength-to-strength season after season and we’re dying to see what (and where) she’ll show in September already.
