Keeping It In The Family: Chloe Green Reveals Her Latest Collection For Topshop

Her foray into footwear last spring was met with mixed reactions but this hasn’t deterred the daughter of retail mogul and Topshop owner Phillip Green from persevering on her quest to become a recognised designer.

Before her appearance on reality show Made In Chelsea, you probably assumed that Chloe Green was be a little bit cool.

She’d grown up on the FROW, counted Kate Moss as a mate and had an enviable list of contacts in the fashion world after all. But her ill-fated romance with the bi-sexual walking Union Jack Ollie Locke (he of the perma-tan and ridiculously glossy shoulder length mane fame) on the show exposed her as just another rich kid using daddy’s money to play fashion and her CJG shoe collection for Topshop was a disaster to say the least.

Featuring six to seven inch heels, tacky studding detail, unflattering ankle straps and a ubiquitous if somewhat lurid green sole, the collection didn’t  so much suggest stripper – it screamed stripper! Not surprisingly, the 15 piece collection didn’t sell out and is still being flogged on Topshop’s website for crazy money (prices start at around €150).

Stripper shoes get the Topshop treatment

So you can imagine our surprise slash horror when it was announced today that Chloe is launching an autumn winter collection of scarves and jewellery which will be available from November 19th on the Topshop website. Thankfully she’s given up on the shoe idea and has focused her design talent (ahem) on a collection of silk scarves instead.  Featuring charm and beetle prints and a six piece jewellery range, prices start at £25 (€30).

We can’t predict you’ll actually want to buy any of it, but it will be interesting to see what Chloe has come up with and we can’t wait to have a nose.

The CJG collection will be available online from November 19th.
