Staging a runway show at one of the big fashion weeks (New York, London, Paris, Milan) is the ultimate accolade for any designer and it looks like Simone Rocha is firmly on her way to being a permanent fixture on the fashion week schedule following today’s announcement that the 27-year-old has received the NEWGEN award.
The award scheme, funded by Topshop gives up-and-coming designers the financial support needed to stage a fashion week show and will afford Simone the opportunity to show her AW13/14 collection at London Fashion Week in February next year.
