There was good news for savvy US shoppers today, with confirmation that Penneys is to open six new stores in the States.
The chain will open its first standalone store in America next year, a 70,000 square foot space in Boston, and has now announced that several additional outlets will be opened in the northeast.
“Primark confirms that it has agreed to acquire the leases of seven stores from the US company Sears,” a spokesperson told Harper’s Bazaar.
“The stores will form part of the new Primark estate in the north east of the US. ABF [Associated British Foods – Primark’s parent company] has already said that Primark plans to be trading from up to 10 stores by late 2016.”
