We all struggle to find the perfect pair of jeans but a US company decided that those who are fond of the gym face the biggest challenge, and decided to do something about it.
Barbell Apparel recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to support the creation of jeans “designed for athletes”, which are made to “fit comfortably over muscular legs by accommodating your quads and butt without forcing you to buy larger sizes for the small waist you work so hard for”.
In a statement on the site, the team revealed that they “spend a minimum of 20 hours a week in the gym” and “were tired of struggling with jeans that didn’t fit, weren’t comfortable, and completely restricted our ability to move”.
While the range is designed for those with some serious muscle, Barbell Denim is said to accommodate “any body type” so slimmer ladies don’t need to be left out.
“Even if your legs aren’t particularly muscular, Barbell Denim will still look amazing on you and feel even more amazing as you move in them. Our hybrid denim stretches both ways so that it can compliment smaller legs, while still easily stretching to accommodate larger legs as well. ”
However, it seems that there is a serious need for some more forgiving denim, as the Kickstarter campaign hit its $15,000 after just 47 minutes and has since raised $196,663. Although we might need a few more sessions in the gym before we’re signing up for a pair!
