Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst made her modelling debut today, taking to the catwalk for the Jean Paul Gaultier Couture show in Paris.

Wurst followed in the footsteps of Dita Von Teese and Beth Ditto to strut her stuff after being handed the prestigious closing spot usually reserved for the most famous model or a designer favourite.

The trip down the catwalk topped off a busy few months for the singer, who headlined LGBT festivities in Ireland, London, Madrid and Spain following her winning performance in Copenhagen. The star is also working on her debut album at the moment.

Having attended the Vienna Life Ball together in May, Jean Paul Gaultier explained his choice of model to The Independent:

“I met Conchita two years ago she came to one of my couture shows. I loved her look and when I heard that she will represent Austria for the Eurovision Song Contest, I was delighted. When she won I was crazy with joy.

“I always say that beauty is difference and Conchita has shown us all that she is unstoppable. And she looks great in couture; she is a real couture woman.”
