We're bringing you the latest fashion news and snaps, direct from the NYFW runways...

New York Fashion Week started in style last Thursday with some of the world’s biggest fashion designers showing their Spring 2014 collections at the famous Lincoln centre.

The fash pack is always a step ahead, while we’re thinking about our winter wardrobes they have spring 2014 all figured out. As we near the end of New York Fashion Week, we bring you the news and images of Bibhu Mohapatra’s show. A stunning emalgamation of cool colours and fresh prints, we wish it was spring already.

The Show

This collection saw Bibhu Mohapatra, primarily an evening wear designer, branch out into daywear. Pastel blouses and loose fitting trousers were seen alongside his stunning embellished gowns. His show concentrated on feminine colours and fabrics, as with many of this season’s collections. Bright yellows, blues and coral summer prints crept in to feature on the catwalk, together with the nude and pastels pieces. Attention to detail was a key feature for this show, demonstrated by the intricate embellishment and floral applique. A sophisticated take on pretty, this designer’s star is set to rise and rise.

The FROW

Fashion royalty is designated pride of place on the front row and style icon Olivia Palermo of The City fame has certainly earned a place there. Joining her on the frow was Australian mode Nicole Trunfio.

The Face

Maybelline New York lead makeup artist Gato created a fresh, feminine look with a theatrical feel. He created a perfect canvas by giving skin a matte finish with Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation, then highlighted cheekbones with Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow  in Barely Branded, and finally dusted on Fit Me Bronzer for flawless glow. To add drama, eyelids were given a wash of Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow in Tough as Taupe and lips received a bitten treatment—SuperStay 14HR in Wine and Forever was softly dabbed on the center of the mouth. A reverse raspberry French manicure complimented the beauty look. Nails were given a coat of Color Show Nail Lacquer in Born With It, and the lunula area was painted with a shade made to match a gown in the collection. Manicurist Honey, created the custom color by blending Color Show Nail Laquer in Purple Icon, Dressed to Kill, Pinkalicious, Crushed Candy, and Tropink, a new-for-2014 Bleached Neon shade.
