Fashion High Five : Our Favourite Transitional Coats

Here's our pick of the best transitional coats to take you from summer into winter

Cathy Donohue

There has been a big change in the weather this week: the heating is back on, fires are being lit and the winter woolies are slowly being pulled out of hibernation.

We’re not talking snow just yet but it is important to invest in a good coat rather than just sticking to your summer blazer and carrying a umbrella with you. If you’re anything like us, that umbrella will inevitably get lost.

A cosy and durable coat is indeed essential for coping with our Irish climate but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style.

The sales are practically over and new season fashion is filtering into the shops. This means cosy knits, leather boots and most importantly stylish outerwear.

So with that in mind have a flick through our gallery for what we hope to invest in this coming season. The coats chosen are reasonably priced, look great and most importantly, will keep you snug over the next few months.
