But the trend is set to continue for next season too as the Louis Vuitton spring/summer show was a riot of bold graphic shapes in a checkerboard palette of yellow, black and white. The Sixties influence can be seen in the boxy silhouettes and square pattern designs.

The collection’s main inspiration came from artist Daniel Buren’s most famous work Les Deux Plateaux, a similarly geometric work of black and white columns situated in Paris’s Palais Royal.
