Dunnes Stores Launch A New Stylish Homewares Collection That We Want, Want, Want!

The department store brings out an eclectic range of home accessories in collaboration with well-known clothing designer Carolyn Donnelly.

Carolyn Donnelly, one of the design talents behind successful clothing label Quin & Donnelly, has turned her hand to creating a selection of quirky homewares for the Irish brand. This gorgeously styled shoot showcasing the collection does exactly what it’s supposed to i.e. make you want to live in this beautifully dressed space.

“I believe that good design is an essential part of our daily lives. From the butter dish on the kitchen table to the tea cloth hanging from the range and the rug in the hall you make a home with pieces that tell your story, your life, your taste. In short, a home that spells you!” says Carolyn.

Her design philosophy is clear in the carefully edited collection that has been inspired by Carolyn’s own offbeat taste and shows ethnic, crafty and retro influences. However, the most stylish homes are those that are a hodgepodge of interesting, cool pieces: talking points found on travels abroad, retro steals sourced from specialist shops and bits and bobs discovered in charity shops and hunted down at flea markets.

If only all kitchen shelving could be this well dressed

So, what this new range does is offer a one-stop shop for adding to the perfect modern home. Mix these pieces in with your already found treasure to give your interiors personality, individuality and character. And just think of the airmiles you’ll save!

Deep breathe… there are circular floral rugs, lampshades, colourful cushions, wooden coffee tables and chairs, printed velvet throws, decorative vases, embroidered bed linen, bright velvet headboards, hooks, candlesticks, vintage-style china, serving dishes and cutlery in the collection. Phew!

The Carolyn Donnelly Eclectic range is available from selected stores nationwide with prices starting at €7.
