Dundrum Town Centre Launches The Bag Breakup in aid of The Dublin Simon Community

Have you got some unloved arm-candy cluttering up your wardrobe? Why not give it a new home, for a good cause...

One of Ireland’s top shopping spots, Dundrum Town Centre has launched a great new initiative this week in association with the Dublin Simon Community.

On Monday last The Bag Break Up Boutique opened on the Gallery Mall to accept bags, whether big or small, old or not so old, and every color, fabric and style. All bags donated will be sold in Dublin Simon Community’s shops to raise much-needed funds and make a real impact on someone’s life.

We all have one, (or two or three) unused and unloved bags lurking around our wardrobes, so why not give it a better home. To encourage participation Dundrum Town Centre is offering to give away 14 on trend, ‘must have’ bags of the season handpicked from stores within Dundrum Town Centre. Everyone who donates a bag will be entered into a draw to win one of these bags, which will be on display in The Bag Break Up Boutique and also on Dundrum Town Centre Facebook page www.facebook.com/dundrumtc

Jeanette Jordan of Dundrum Town Centre said at the launch: “Every bag donated between Monday 4th and Sunday 17th February will be delivered to Dublin Simon’s two shops located on Thomas Street and Camden Street. The Bags will be sold to raise much-needed funds for the charity so that it can continue its vital work helping people who are homeless.

“We are delighted to be part of the Dundrum Town Centre Bag Break Up Boutique. Hopefully, fashion fans will come out in force to support our cause and help raise vital funds for The Dublin Simon Community. We rely on independent fundraisers like this to support the work we do and we’d like to thank Dundrum Town Centre for coming up with and accommodating this unique idea” said Kelly Crowley of The Dublin Simon Community.
