Ah, nights out. They might be great craic but attempting to find an outfit you’re happy with isn’t always easy.
Boys just don’t realise that there are so many things to consider.
Irish Weather
The weather always influences what we wear, if its pouring rain wearing a skimpy dress isn’t wise for a number of reasons. No one wants to be the girl with streaky tan dripping down her legs after running from the taxi to the first bar. What’s worse is, even if you manage to make yourself slightly presentable using the bathroom dryer, chances are the same thing will happen later. Not to mention the hair problems that result from the demon that is Irish rain. However, we’re not about to give up on our party dresses just yet. The gallery above has lots of pretty images that are likely to make you want to go shopping this minute.
Jumpsuit Love
Dresses might be the typical attire for a night on the tiles but there’s no rule that says it has to be that way. Jumpsuits are great if you feel like a change, plus they eliminate that pesky fake tan problem. Super stylish and figure enhancing, the jumpsuit is elegant and stylish. It’s an item you will find yourself pulling out time and time again and there’s no excuse this season, as they feature strongly in the high street autumn winter collections.
High Heels
In some of the previous articles of this series, we have advised against opting for super high heels. However it’s a night out and if you can’t break out them out for such an occasion, then when can you exactly! Guaranteed to transform your outfit from casual to chic, don’t underestimate the power of a good pair of heels. A wise woman by the name of Marilyn Monroe once said “I don’t know who invented high heels, but all women owe him a lot.”
Budget Friendly
Surprisingly enough, looking good doesn’t have to cost the earth. Penneys, New Look and River Island are just some of the high street stores offering affordable going-out wear. If you want to invest in an expensive piece, you can recycle old shoes and accessories to go with it. Similarly, if there’s a clutch you simply must get your hands on then it might be a great way to bring that old black dress back to life.
Have a look through the gallery above to see what exactly is on offer on the high street and let us know what you think…
