We have all been there. We have passed by a store and seen a beautiful dress on a model and have been really eager to try it on, but then? Disaster. Sure, it looks amazing on the model but the model is a size 2. And we’re not talking American sizes.
Well, thankfully some stores are beginning to understand how stressful and upsetting it can be for a woman to try on an outfit only to realize that they will never be able to wear it due to either their size or the shape of their body. While it can be just as damaging to health to be obese as it is to be underweight, the high street have finally begun to realise not all women are naturally a size 8.

Debenhams announced this morning that they have launched size 16 mannequins in their Oxford Street store and have met with a huge amount of support following the announcement.
The Director of Debenhams, Ed Watson, commented that the company feels that it’s important to “better represent what real women actually look like when advertising our clothes.”
