For all the celebrities who get it right in the style stakes, there are just as many who make fashion mistakes.
It goes to prove that style can’t buy money, if an outfit is chosen properly so that the colour, size and cut adhere to your shape then it will look good regardless of the price of the clothes.
A good-fitting Penneys ensemble can look just as good as designer gear, that is if you take the time to look for something that suits your colouring and body shape.
Flashing the flesh is not a recipe for success and a great rule to follow is the familiar saying ‘less is more’.
For example, if wearing sequins, metallic or print keep accessories low-key so the outfit speaks for itself.
Clashing prints are on trend but just be careful what you pair together, as swirls, geometric and floral together would be enough to give anyone a migraine.

Gaga is pretty much Gaga… and not just on stage either. This lady likes to dress crazily on most occasions; from PVC to colour pops, latex to netting…she’s worn it all. The outfit featured in the gallery above is ill-fitting and looks extremely uncomfortable but if she’s happy then that’s all that matters!
Ellie Goulding
Ellie has made some great style choices in the past but this particular outfit deserves a big black mark. Flashing an awful lot of flesh and sporting multiples sequins is not the way to style success. She wore this to perform on the X Factor and it wasn’t one of her better outfit choices.
Helena Bonham Carter
Helena is known for her eccentric fashion sense but we have seen her wear black far too many times to appreciate it any more. This ensemble looks as though it started out as a dress before trousers were added and the layering looks as though there could be a skirt in there too. It swamps her petite figure and the black drains her pale face… no, just no.
Nicole Kidman
As mentioned above, when wearing sequins then less is more. Nicole went for ‘more is more’ pairing her sequins with swirls, and lots of swirls at that. To be honest, our eyes hurt just looking at it and that’s never a good thing…
Lena Dunham
Lena is fabulous and achingly cool but to be frank, this dress looks like a carpet. The voluminous shape does nothing for her shapely figure, the colour is harsh against her pale skintone and the flowers are so big they look childlike. Lena, you make us laugh till our sides hurt but this there are no excuses for this outfit choice…
