Bag It: Tommy Hilfiger Launches Sixth Limited-Edition Handbag in support of Breast Health International

For the sixth year running, American designer Tommy Hilfiger has created a limited-edition bag to raise funds for Breast Health International, and it's amazing. Beauty with a purpose.

She’s so elegant, sleek and stunning, and she looks amazing in the photographs.

The model’s not bad either though.

We’ve just gotten our hands on these pictures of the latest Limited Edition Tommy Hilfiger handbag, created in support of Breast Health International.

Breast Health International is a leading non-profit foundation that advances breast cancer research and treatment. The 2012 BHI campaign features acclaimed Anglo-French actress and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg, photographed by Hollywood actress, screenwriter and producer – the multi-talented Drew Barrymore.

‘Isn’t She Lovely…’ The latest limited-edition Tommy Hilfiger bag for Breast Health International

The handbag debuted exclusively on tommy.com on September 27, 2012, and is available in select Tommy Hilfiger stores in Europe, the United States, Canada and the Asia-Pacific region starting October 1, 2012.

Irish ladies can pick up theirs now in the flagship Irish Tommy Hilfiger store on Dublin’s Grafton Street.

Speaking about the ongoing partnership, Tommy Hilfiger himself said: “I am very proud to be partnering with Breast Health International for a sixth year. The annual limited-edition collaboration is a great way for us to engage consumers in raising awareness and funds for this important initiative. We are excited and honored to welcome Charlotte Gainsbourg and Drew Barrymore in support of this year’s campaign.”

This year’s limited-edition handbag is a navy leather tote with white accents and red handles, signature Tommy style.

The limited-edition handbag will retail for €299, and €100 of each sale will go directly to the Fund for Living, a global BHI initiative that provides assistance to women with breast cancer and their families by covering costs or addressing unique problems associated with their care that may not be covered by traditional health insurance programs.

Photographer for the campaign, Drew Barrymore said: “It’s an honor to partner with Tommy Hilfiger and Charlotte Gainsbourg to raise awareness for the wonderful work Breast Health International does.”

Former celebrity ambassadors for the Tommy Hilfiger/BHI handbag have included Oscar-winning actress Renée Zellweger, France’s former First Lady Carla Bruni, international supermodel-turned-acclaimed-photographer Helena Christensen, supermodel and actress Milla Jovovich, and Italian actresses Claudia Gerini and Cristiana Capotondi.

We’re loving the new bag at Her.ie, particularly as we are now in Breast Cancer Awareness month, so if you want a splurge you’ll feel good about – get yourself over to Tommy Hilfiger on Grafton Street, Dublin now, or buy online here.
