They’ve cleaned up their act following a damning Greenpeace report and now it seems that the global underwear giant is helping breast cancer survivors feel better about themselves too.
Seeing her mother Debbie struggle to find a bra post-mastectomy, 27-year-old Allana Maiden decided to start an online petition on Change.org asking Victoria’s Secret to launch a line of Mastectomy bras.
She picked the famous company because she felt it was the best positioned in terms of price and store locations in the US and because they are committed to making pretty, ultra feminine underwear but was shocked when her small petition became national news and gained over 120,000 signatures in less than a month.
And, most importantly, got the attention of the company’s Vice President of External Communications.

Allana and her mother Debbie
Limited Brands – Victoria’s Secret parent company – have since sat down with Allanna and her mother and are now researching a Mastectomy line with their help.
Speaking to Fashionista.com, Allana and Debbie have revealed that the company are planning on flying the petition wielding pair to their headquarters in Ohio to meet with developers and fellow cancer survivors to get their recommendations for the line.
“It’s good to know that I’m helping somebody that’s high up in the company and that seems interested in finding out more about this and what we can do to make it possible,” Allana said.
