Inbetweeners Writer Damon Beesley Reveals That a Second Film is in The Pipeline

The comedy genius said he is working on a script for The Inbetweeners sequel.

A sequel to The Inbetweeners is in the works and will earn each of its stars a whopping €3 million each.

According to The Irish Sun, comedy writer Damon Beesley is working on a sequel to the popular 2011 film in which the school boys traveled to Malaga in search of sex.

Damon, who created the programme with his friend Iain Morris said: “I don’t want to give too much away at this stage but yes, we have been developing an idea for a sequel.

“We miss working with Simon, Joe, James, and even Blake too much to not give it a go,” he said.

Rumours of a sequel has excited fans of the series for months and actors Joe Thomas, James Buckley, Simon Bird and Blake Harrison are set earn five times more than they did for their part in the first film.

The Inbetweeners Movie was hugely successful when it was released in 2011

The actors earned €635,000 each for their roles in the original movie but now they are expected to make a whopping €3 million for the sequel.

A source close to the writers said that the plot of the next film could involve Neil’s stag do.

“The Inbetweeners took off like a rocket, far beyond many expectations.

“The budget was low and no one got shed loads of money up front so understandably everyone wants to cash in the second time round,” the source finished.

The Inbetweeners, which focuses on the lives of four sex-crazed teenage boys, has become hugely popular raking in 3 million fans per episode during it’s third and fourth season.
