An elderly man lost his wedding ring three years ago while gardening.
At the time that he lost the ring, his wife told him it would turn up again eventually, according to German news site WDR.
Six months ago, the 82-year-old man’s wife died just before their 50th wedding anniversary.
The german man was then harvesting vegetables in his garden when he found the wedding ring set in to one of the carrots. It appear the carrot had grown up through the wedding ring leaving a dent in the veg.
While his wife was sadly not around to see that she was right all along, we’re sure that being reunited with the ring had huge sentimental value to her husband.
The man saw the funny side in the remarkable story and reportedly said that his wife was right adding ”You reap what you sow”.
