One Wexford man who is sure to be sipping some champagne tonight was literally sitting on a jackpot of €350k, only finding his winning ticket a month after he won the fortune on November 29th.
The Wexford man who bought his ticket in Drimnagh won the top Lotto Plus 1 prize on Saturday, November 29th, but only uncovered his winning ticket after Christmas.
Speaking to Newstalk, the anonymous winner said:
“I just found out yesterday. I scanned the ticket in the shop and it said to contact the National Lottery, so I thought there must be a problem with the barcode or something. Then I checked it on the website later. I couldn’t believe it.”
