The murder of David Byrne at a boxing weigh-in in The Regency Hotel, Drumcondra in February sparked off a series of killings in the capital between rival criminal gangs.
The Irish Times report that two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of the 33-year-old following the arrest of a third man last Friday who remains in police custody in Ballymun.
The incident sparked the feud between the Hutch and Kinahan crime gangs and has claimed six lives to date.
Two men were also arrested last week in connection with the death of Eddie Hutch, a taxi driver and brother of criminal Gary Hutch.
Mr. Hutch was killed several days after the event in Drumcondra, in what is believed to be an act of retaliation for Mr. Byrne’s death.
The two men are aged in their fifties and thirties and are being held at Swords and Clontarf Garda Stations under Section 50 of The Criminal Justice Act.
