Twenty families were evacuated in Limerick tonight after a bomb was found a car in a housing estate.
According to The Mirror, the incident occurred at Knights Court in Cullenagh, an estate located on the Abbeyfeale Road in Newcastle West.
A woman raised the alarm with gardai at around 6.10pm after spotting a person placing the device on the car.
Gardaí are still waiting to see if the bomb was viable or a hoax but have confirmed that the man living at the house where the car was located is “known to Gardai”.
