Tipperary hurling star Noel McGrath will reportedly undergo surgery for testicular cancer this Friday.
The news was confirmed in a statement by Tipperary GAA this morning, who also passed on well wishes from his teammates and management to the 24-year-old.
“Noel McGrath will undergo surgery for testicular cancer on Friday 17th April,” the statement reads.
“The Tipperary senior hurling squad, senior hurling management, Tipperary County Board and all Tipperary supporters wish Noel well during this time and look forward to welcoming him back in the Tipperary colours in due course.
“We ask everyone to respect the privacy of Noel and his family at this time and in the coming weeks. Our thoughts are with Noel and his family at this time.”
The talented hurler is a two-time All-Star and former Young Hurler of the Year.
