Thousands Attend Anti Water Protest In Dublin

Her

Thousands of people took to the streets of Dublin today (Saturday) for the latest in a number of recent anti-water protests.

According to reports, demonstrators were reportedly asked to bring their Irish Water bills with them to the march so that they could be ripped up and/or binned.

Organizers of the protest stated that there must be a mass non-payment of bills in order to make a clear statement to the government.

They also estimated that close to the region of 10,000 people attended the march, while other estimates state that about half that figure showed up.

The protest left from the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Square to Leinster House.
