There will be a brand new bill dropping through your letterbox from today as Irish Water has revealed that the first batch of their bills should be arriving this week.
Over 39,000 bills will be landing on doorsteps today, the first batch of 1.5 million quarterly bills that will be despatched across the country over the coming eight weeks.
The utility company has been metering usage since January of this year, and today marks the first day of the charges.
Bills for households with just one adult will be approximately €40 while homes with two adults will be paying €65 or less.
Meanwhile, almost 9,000 customers have to re-submit their details to Irish Water as a result of concerns over data protection.
