Pope Francis has hinted that he will visit Ireland in 2018.
During a mass in Philadelphia on Sunday, to mark the end of his trip to the US, he announced that the next World Meeting of Families would take place in Dublin.
The assembly is the largest Catholic gathering of families and is held in a different location every three years.
If it does happen, it will be the first papal visit to Ireland since Saint John Paul in 1979.
