Tech Fact of the Week –
It’s a pet peeve to reach for the kettle or tea pot, to find you’ve missed out on the last cuppa. So if you’re a scientist… well it’ll lead you to inventing a technique of checking on your coffee pot without having to leave your desk.
Thanks to this laziness (or genius – we’re still deciding), a team at Cambridge University invented the world’s first webcam to keep an eye on coffee levels from their desks.

What’s App-ening?
Runkeeper
With the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon fast approaching, we’re getting a little obsessional with our training. We may not be the next Sonia Sullivan, but we’re decking out our wardrobe and lacing up those runners like our lives, if not our sport reputations, depended on it. So how can we keep our progress on track?
No other free app offers as much as Runkeeper for keeping record of all those vital running stats. Set your goals, start running and Runkeeper does the rest using GPS to track your distance, time, splits, pacing and everything in between from its stylish and easy to use interface. You can even share your stats on social media and connect and compete with your running buddies (let’s be honest – we all want to be first to cross the finish line)
Want to make it one step better? It’s totally free to download. (You’re welcome)
