Channing Tatum, you say? Stripping, you say?
When news first broke that we’d be seeing bare Tatum bum in ‘Magic Mike’, we must admit we were quite pleased. He may not be the best actor in the world, but the star of ‘The Vow’ is pretty buff and he had some serious moves in ‘Step Up’.
US audiences, though, gave his movie a miss this past weekend in favour of a talking teddy bear – and a quick poll around the office confirms it, we’d do the same.
‘Magic Mike’ went up against Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane’s ‘Ted’ at the box office, and the foul-mothed bear’s buddy movie co-starring Mark Whalberg was the clear winner, taking in almost $15 million.
Channing has no reason to be down in the dumps though, or retire his velcro pants, as ‘Magic Mike’ claimed the number two spot and brought in a very respectable €39 million.
